Jessica Renee Carpenter, 20, and her friend Rachael Anne Lowe, 27, each were charged with one count of producing an illegal abortion, which carries a sentence of two to 10 years. Each also was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a felony. Judge Susan Weber Wright granted an injunction on Friday to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which had filed a lawsuit last month on behalf of abortionists Louis Jerry Edwards and Tom Tvedten, who work at Little Rock Family Planning Clinic in the state capital. A new Washington Post poll finds Americans believe the targeting of pro-life groups and conservatives by the International Revenue service was a deliberate act. “As you may know it’s been disclosed that the IRS singled out some conservative political groups for extra questions about their tax status. Do you think it was appropriate or inappropriate for the IRS to do this?” the poll asked. Some 74 percent of respondents say it was inappropriate compared to just 20 percent who say it was appropriate. Another 51 percent said they thought the IRS actions were illegal while 44 percent said they were inappropriate but not illegal. more...

It is one of the seven Michigan abortion clinics that have closed since September 2012. The new owners of the building in Livonia refuse to rent to any abortion providers. Walter Hoye of the National Black Pro Life Coalition says that the problem does not end with those two criminals. A driver accused of swerving his SUV at a teenage demonstrator outside an Aurora Planned Parenthood clinic was charged with aggravated assault even though police said security cameras never showed him veering toward the protester. Aurora police investigators, after interviewing witnesses and checking video from several cameras, closed their investigation into the Feb. 16 incident without seeking criminal charges. more...

The Maryland Board of Physicians has permanently revoked the license of abortionist Nicola I. The woman whose boyfriend is accused of murdering their unborn child by secretly giving her abortion pills, says she's afraid for her own life too. Remee Jo Lee, 26, says if John Andrew Welden gets out of jail she's afraid he'll come after her. The revelation is part of the testimony given by Lee at a restraining order hearing last month. The city of Winter Park Florida thought that three Pro-lifers , were dangerous enough that they called in the city Swat team to body search, hand cuff and arrest them. Jay Rogers, Professor Pat McEwen, and Cheryl Bishoff, were arrested Saturday challenging a city ordinance against residential picketing. According to Jay Rogers,one of the pro-lifers arrested, one member of the Central Florida group, "was simply standing and reading her Bible.' Jay said he was taking video of a pro-life march. [Another pro-lifer] was celebrating LIFE in front of the home of a Planned Parenthood...According to Jay, " The city SWAT Team decided we were violating a no picketing ordinance. Yes, they called the SWAT team on us. The regular police were not good enough." Michele Herzog who trains sidewalk counselors in Central Florida said the arrests stemmed from an emergency ban on residential picketing passed by Winter Park Commissioners to protect CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando, Jenna Tosh.
